The Worth Valley by-election is this Thursday (12th February)

Why has this election been called?

Watch this video

As you may be aware, this by-election has been triggered by the local Reform party Chairman following the very sad death of Worth Valley Conservative councillor Russell Brown.

Unfortunately, what the local Reform party haven't told you is that the winner will serve just 12 weeks before the election has to be held again at the all-out elections in May.

The local Reform party are costing you and other local taxpayers around ยฃ30,000 for this stunt.

I am a firm believer that politics is about service to the community, not cynical and wasteful stunts like this.

Who is our local Conservative candidate?

That is why I am endorsing Conservative candidate Paul Golding on Thursday - who has stepped up to serve the Worth Valley.

Paul is a former Special Constable who has served our community for decades.

Paul understands that standing to be a councillor is a long-term commitment and has pledged to put in the hard graft from day one.

Teamwork also matters.

If successful, Paul will join Rebecca Poulsen and Chris Herd as part of a hardworking Conservative team - who work tirelessly for the Worth Valley day in, day out.

How do I vote?

Polling stations open at 7am Thursday morning (Thursday 12th February) and you can vote at your local polling station right up until 10pm.

If you have a postal vote and havenโ€™t sent it off yet you can return this to your polling station and it will be accepted

You must bring photo ID to vote. A list of accepted IDs can be found HERE

Where is my nearest polling station?

This election is a two-horse race.

So on Thursday 12th February, vote for hard-graft, teamwork and service to the community - not political stunts.
