The Keighley and Ilkley Constituency covers a large geographical area with many varying challenges and opportunities. That is why I have set out my six individual priorities for both Keighley, and for Ilkley.

Campaigns

£33.6m of investment for Keighley

Keighley is receiving £33.6m as part of our Town Deal from our Conservative government to make our community an even better place to live.

Keighley has been forgotten and ignored for too long - no more. This Town Deal is a major stepping stone in helping us transform our community.

Reviving Cavendish Street, North Street and the Airedale Shopping Centre

Keighley desperately needs a vibrant town centre, so I’ll work with businesses to bring empty shops back into use on Cavendish Street and North Street.

Getting more Police on the beat with extra resources to tackle crime

Working together with the police and the community we can cut crime. I’ll make sure we get a fair share of extra resources from the 20,000 more officers being recruited; and we’ll give them the tools they need to fight crime.

Improving local schools by raising standards and investing in facilities

Young people deserve the best start in life, so I’ll work with parents and teachers to make sure local schools have the facilities they need to raise standards.
