A Keighley law firm has held discussions with the town's MP about challenges facing the farming community.
Waddington Turner Wall Solicitors hosted a visit by Robbie Moore, Shadow Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
"We were honoured to welcome Mr Moore for a productive discussion on the pressing challenges currently facing our farming communities and the crucial role that early legal advice can play in supporting them," says Emma Downey, head of family law at the Devonshire Street firm.
"During his visit Mr Moore attended a presentation in which we examined the key issues affecting local farmers, including succession planning, financial pressures and the complexities of land ownership and regulatory compliance.
"Our work continues to focus on connecting with local farming families, raising awareness through digital platforms, and amplifying the voices of those within the agricultural sector.
"As a firm we're acutely aware of the evolving pressures on today’s farming families. Emma was joined in the discussions by colleagues including Michael Bower, director and head of litigation, and paralegals Harry Whiteway, of the family team; Claudia Jackson, equine, and Abbi Gallacher from the private client team.
The meeting included conversations about the importance of promoting British produce and supporting rural businesses.
