Local MP Robbie Moore has called for local action following Labour-run Bradford Council’s decision to approve the construction of 138 new houses just off Bolton Road in Silsden.

The developer, Persimmon is seeking to close or reroute well-used footpaths in Silsden following the planning decision, with local MP Robbie Moore saying:

"Calling all Silsden Residents - Don’t let Bradford Council close our much loved and used footpaths.

Surveys are being undertaken TODAY (Saturday) along the footpaths within the fields adjoining Bolton Road and Hawber Cote Drive up until 7pm this evening - to collect data on usage of the footpaths and the routes which people take.

If you are able to pop down today, take a stroll or take the dog for a walk - please do! I have already been down to register my foot movements!

Don’t let Bradford Council take our footpaths away"
