The winners of local MP Robbie Moore’s 2025 Small Business Awards have been crowned after more than 2,500 votes were cast for over 200 small businesses across Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and the Worth Valley.

Silsden’s Olive & Green has taken the overall top spot following the public vote. Olive & Green opened in November last year after an absence of an independent greengrocer in Silsden for years. A trained chef, owner Nicola has vast experience in catering and retail, including running sandwich bars and delis.

The independent greengrocers, deli and gift shop received hundreds of nominations, with customers commenting:

• “What a breath of fresh air for Silsden. Great products and produce, very friendly staff, lovely shop.”

• “Bringing a buzz back to the high street with high-quality products.”

• “A brilliant new enthusiastic business in Silsden with lots of fabulous products & great ideas.”

• “As a business, it has cracked what the community really needs, allied with genuine human warmth.”

Also announced were the local area winners, with the idyllic café and petting farm at Windle House Farm taking the top spot in the Worth Valley. Local farmers Tracy and Stephen Pepper recently reopened their iconic café and farm in July, which includes a children’s play area, children’s activities, meet-the-animals sessions, pony and alpaca walking, educational visits, and a beautiful setting for afternoon teas.

Start-up boxing club Switch Hitters were voted Keighley’s best small business. In less than a year, local trainer Jonny Greenwood’s club has gone from strength to strength, offering classes and personal training for anyone aged 10 and above across the area, as well as the opportunity to compete. The club recently held their first fight night in Keighley’s Victoria Hall and received rave reviews.

Jacqui Mac MediSpa took the top spot in Ilkley. Owner Jackie grew up in Ilkley and is a well-known and respected practitioner, recently hailed ‘Best Boss’ at this year’s Ilkley Business Awards. Jacqui Mac is the first CQC-registered medical aesthetics, health and wellness clinic in Ilkley, providing state-of-the-art health, wellness and aesthetics treatments including LED light therapy, Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, skin treatments, weight loss, laser treatment and injectables. They also offer upper eyelid surgery, with an in-house consultant ophthalmic surgeon, and have recently added a dermatologist to their team.

Mr Moore congratulated the winners on their achievements, urging residents to “shop local” in the new year and beyond.

Robbie Moore MP said: “What stands out about this year’s winners is that they are all either new businesses, start-up ventures or have reopened to serve our community. At a time when small businesses are facing rising costs and growing uncertainty, these owners have chosen to take the risk and back all things local. That says a huge amount about the character of our local business community – and this year's winners certainly reflect that.

Nic, Simon and the team at Olive & Green are a brilliant example of that spirit, bringing a buzz back to Silsden’s high street. They should be exceptionally proud of the support they have received. I also want to congratulate Windle House Farm, Switch Hitters Boxing Club and Jacqui Mac Aesthetics – all amazing local businesses I have had the pleasure to get to know this year. Together, they show that despite the challenges, small businesses across Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and the Worth Valley continue to fight on – and in 2026 and beyond, they deserve our full support.”

Olive & Green said: “What an honour to win and to be so well supported by Silsden. Winning this makes it worth the hard work that’s been put in by everyone. We’re lucky enough to have a great team behind us and couldn't have done it without them. Setting up a new business is always a risk, but we've been so well received, with huge enthusiasm from Silsden and surrounding areas. Thank you to everyone who voted. We’re proud to be a Cobbydalers.”

Switch Hitters Boxing Club said: “We’re extremely grateful for everyone’s votes in these awards and their support over the last year, be it members, sponsors, friends, family or spectators. To be awarded something like this means so much to us and goes to show what a positive impact we must be having in our community. To us, that is what it's all about. We had a great 2025, and 2026 is only going to get better!”

Windle House Farm said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised for this award for the Worth Valley. We are very grateful for the continued support shown to our family and to Windle House Farm. The encouragement we have received since reopening has been greatly appreciated, and we would like to thank everyone who has supported us as we carefully and proudly build the next chapter of the farm together.”

Jacqui Mac Medispa said: “We are very humbled by the amount of votes our patients did for us, and are continuing to grow and adding to the team with experts and professionals to offer the best standards and treatments to treat skin, aging and health and wellness needs. We are really proud of how far the team has come and how much support we have in the local area. Thank you!”
