Local MP Robbie Moore has praised the "heroes" at Ilkley Armed Forces and Breakfast Club after the group hosted it's one year anniversary.

Speaking on social media, Robbie Moore MP said:

An honour to attend the 1st anniversary of Ilkley’s fantastic Armed Forces and Veteran’s Breakfast Club yesterday morning- one year on, attendance has soared from 12 to a massive 55!

The Ilkley Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club is a shining example of the dedication our veterans have to both their comrades and our community. It is also a fantastic way for our veterans to get together on a regular basis for a catch up.

I am immensely proud of the whole team who make this club a vital support network for our veterans.

On a national level, it was fantastic to see the government announce an extra £75 billion in defence spending this week, which will go a long way in supporting our armed forces and protecting our nation.
