Oakworth Gala drew record crowds once again this year, with families lining the streets to enjoy a colourful procession and day of entertainment on the gala field.
Performances included the Voices of Yorkshire choir, Showkids, and a first aid demonstration from St John Ambulance cadets, with stalls hosted by local groups including Keighley Lions, the Scouts, and Men of Worth.
The event was organised by the Oakworth Village Society, with special thanks going to long-time organiser Mrs Janet Armstrong.
Robbie Moore MP said:

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Janet Armstrong, whose tireless work has once again helped make the Gala such a success. Janet’s work, together with the efforts of the Oakworth Village Society, has turned this event into one of the most loved and well-attended community gatherings in our area. A huge thank you to Janet, the Village Society and all those in attendance who made the Gala such a success.”
