Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore has visited local print and display company SMF Print to meet with the team and learn more about their work.

Based in Keighley, SMF Print produces bespoke retail displays and promotional print materials, working with a wide range of clients including leading grocery and high street retailers, international brands and premier football clubs.

While covering all aspects of retail design and activation, SMF Print also designs a range of eco-display units. Used by major supermarket chains, these range from larger free-standing units to smaller countertop versions. Made from organic, natural materials that are recycled or recyclable, the eco-displays have a slot-together design and are supplied flat-packed, while maintaining a high level of durability.

The business has also developed the ‘ESCAPE’ promotional cooler, a mobile chilled unit with easily interchangeable graphics. Designed with flexibility in mind, the cooler can be placed anywhere in-store, giving retailers the option of taking chilled products off the shelf and into more impulse-driven areas such as the entrance foyers or next to checkout zones.

During the visit, Mr Moore met with Director Andrew Fletcher and his team to hear about their work and recent updates, as well as some of the challenges they are currently facing. Having recently relocated their offices to Keighley, Andrew and the team were keen to discuss forging links with other businesses in the local area, with the aim of raising the town’s positive brand image and highlighting the many independent businesses it has to offer.

The local MP paid tribute to Andrew and the team, praising them for their innovation and commitment to promoting the business community in Keighley and the wider area.

Commenting on the visit, Robbie Moore MP said:

“It was brilliant to meet with Andrew and the team at SMF Print to learn more about their business and the work they do.

“The business has a hugely impressive client list, including leading retailers and giants, and for good reason. Their bespoke designs and innovative products are fantastic and quite rightly industry leading. We are lucky to have incredible businesses like SMF Print in Keighley, which help put our mighty town on the map, both nationally and internationally.

“It was also great to talk with Andrew and the team about how we can better raise the profile of Keighley’s many fantastic independent businesses. The town has so much to offer, and raising its positive brand image is hugely important. This is something I will continue to champion going forward.”
