A local apprentice has been celebrated at Downing Street event this week.

Local MP Robbie Moore has praised a day of action from West Yorkshire Police which saw 24 abandoned or untaxed vehicles seized from various streets in the area.

Residents have attended a jam-packed public meeting focused on local GP service provision and the a new online appointment booking system rolled out by local health provider Modality. 

Robbie Moore MP said:

It won’t be long before residents of Cringles Residential Park in Silsden will no longer have to face the wet and windy weather unsheltered after the town’s MP intervened to secure a bus shelter for residents travelling at the site. 

The government’s Levelling Up Minister, Jacob Young, has visited Keighley and the Worth Valley to hear from local organisations about how government levelling up funding is helping to regenerate the area.

The government’s Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education, The Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, has visited Keighley to hold a skills roundtable at Keighley College, praising the town’s “extraordinary” local apprentices and students. 

Local community group Keighley Lions have held a charity "Mad Hatters Tea Party" in support of Breast Cancer Now. 

Delicious food and sweet treats were on offer, with the event featuring performances from local Lion Barry Peel and Lion President Allan Clark.

Haworth and Worth Valley Rotary Club have welcomed local Robbie Moore MP as their guest speaker this week.

The event took place at the Rotarians’ weekly meeting, which takes place at Newsholme Manor on Tuesday evenings.

A new photography and personalised giftware shop and studio has recently opened its doors on South Street, bringing a unique blend of creativity to the town.
